About This Award Winning Musical: The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them to explore the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from "Little Red Riding Hood", "Jack and the Beanstalk", "Rapunzel", and "Cinderella", as well as several others. The musical is tied together by an original story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a Witch who has placed a curse on them, and their interaction with other storybook characters during their journey.

Spring impACT Program
About Our Arts Education Program
TACTICC's impACT program is one of three performing arts programs offered by TACTICC. impACT is TACTICC's focus in Educational Theatre for Young Audiences. This program serves a dual role in promoting our core mission statements and typically being our biggest effort throughout the year. impACT productions are family friendly entertainment (rated G and PG), and most are performed by students grades K-12. Due to the size and time difference for productions, impACT tickets are usually at a reduced rate.
Often a first step in learning about the art in the theatre, impACT classes and productions focus on having fun learning about theatre, promoting growth and personal development, building friendships and focusing on the importance of ensemble, all while maintaining high production values.
Why Choose TACTICC's impACT Program?
Having a regular creative outlet is not just part of a well rounded education – it is essential for a child’s emotional health and well being. Producing a show brings the arts together and provides growth opportunities for all varieties of learners. For example, kin-esthetic learners engage their bodies through dance, linguistic learners dive into the written and spoken word, spatial learners tackle set and costume design, and musical learners revel in the show’s score. Besides being incredibly fun, musical theatre helps young people develop many of the skills necessary for success in today’s world:
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
As you can see, our students will gain valuable life skills through their participation in TACTICC.
